Tile byTyler!

Tyler has started a small tiling business on the side. He is so good at it and inexpensive! So if you have any jobs and were wondering who to call for tile... Call my hubby Tyler!(Because his name actually means man who lays tile! Hahaha) Call if you want more info!

What we've been up to...

Ok, I know some of these pics are old, but I have been SO busy lately that I haven't had the energy to blog.

Took some family pics (my mother-in-law is still editing them, stay tuned to see them!)

My sister Lindsay and I made this adorable Mickey Mouse pumpkin for Drake

All the girls decided to dress up, as for Ty.. I thnk he was going as a homeless football player..Haha, he was actually working on tile all night.

Lindsay prepared this amazing dinner for Halloween! I felt so bad that I had to work that day and couldn't help her actually make the food, but I did help her plan it! Thanks linds! Things we ate: Intestines (Chicken Noodle Soup), Skeleton Bone (Veggie Tray), Witches fingers (mozzarella sticks and pickles), Creepy crawlers (Plastic bugs in jello), Candy Corn (cheesy bread), Tortured mummies (Pigs in a balnket) with cups of blood (ketchup), Spiders (rice krispies), Witches Hats (Cookies with hershey kiss), Ghosts (Bananas with choc chips) and Witches Brew (homemade rootbeer). It was delicious!

I got to babysit Drake a couple weeks ago and we had tons of fun playing in the leaves. He wanted to wear is "rar rar" hat all day. How cute!

'

Spent my day off getting ready for Christmas! I love all my decorations but my tree is by far my favorite! And I can proudly say that I have pretty much everything bought for Christmas! December you can now make your grand entrance!!

FUN Weeks of October!

Right before October started, I went to Gardner Village with Julie and Kim. We have made it a tradition and now my mom and sisters have also made it a tradition. It was so much fun to go see all the decorating ideas, shops and get some cute new clothes & stuff for my house!

We have had such a fun October & it has been busy busy busy but we've loved every minute of it. The first week in October I was one of the guys and went Duck Hunting! It was a first for Ty and he did so good! He shot 4 ducks! I clipped one on the tail but it didn't go down, oh well. When you're duck hunting you get up way early and then wait until the sun is just starting to come up and then you just go crazy on the ducks! It seriously wounded like world war 3 with all the gunfire that was going off. The shotgun we used had a major kick and I had a HUGE bruise on my shoulder but it was totally worth it.

Listen Carefully, you can hear all the gunshots

My mom did my hair in these cool curlers during conference and this was the result, I really liked it!

I got a creative itch and was sick of the color of our boring white door. It faces the street so that is the first thing I see. I felt like it blended in too much with all the other doors so... we painted it! It actually is a little brighter turquoise than it looks in this picture, it took a little getting used to, but I really love it now. This color is really popular right now and it just makes me smile everytime I drive past it! I also got that cute wreath on an Etsy shop that I love called SweetLeighMama. The Love sign that is shown in my past post I got at Garnder village at the Celebrations store and I love it. It is magnetic to I got magnets for all the seasons that I can put on it. So much fun! I really feel like the front of my house looks like "me" now.

Ty & I went to Park City for the 2nd weekend in October. We stayed at my the condos that my Aunt Nancy manages. It was such a fun getaway and was much needed. We have made it a tradition to have a little getaway in October every year. (last year we went to Salt Lake and stayed in a hotel, went to the Aquarium, etc) We watched movies on TV, went to the hot tub every night, played phase ten and UNO, ate at fancy restaurants, went to a movie, slept in, and much more. We love spending time together no matter what we are doing!

This is when my mom and sisters went to Gardner Village. Hannah and Drake dressed up in their Halloween costumes and looked adorable. Drake was loving his outfit and kept singing the hotdog song (from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)

3rd week in October we went Deer Hunting. Hunts shot a 4 point before we made it up so it was more like camping, but hey, I'm calling it Hunting! We got up really early and tried to shoot some coyotes, we were way legit too, in a blind and everything, but nope we didn't see ANYTHING. I pretty much slept while Hunts and Ty sat there for 2 hours. ( I think I made a good decision, haha)  It was so fun to spend time one on one with my Dad. I have always been the daddy's girl of the family and Hannah is following in my footsteps. I never wanted to be left behind when my dad would go hunting so I always got to go with him and help spot deer. They are some of my best memories with my dad, Uncle Wayne and Aunt Becky. I was the first kid he took hunting (before Hunter came along) and I am so glad that it is something I like to do. When you go deer hunting tho, it is definately "roughing it". Me and Hannah were peeing on logs and everything! Haha. One thing we always do every year is have SPAM. I introduced "reduced fat" spam to the bunch and they couldn't even tell a difference! haha. We had razors to drive this year and were definately spoiled. Usually we freeze our butts off but they have built in heaters! It was awesome. Such a fun weekend.

The 4th weekend in October we went with Linds and the girls to the Pumpkin Walk in Logan (or as Drake calls is "Punkin walk") They had some way cute displays all made out of pumpkins. My favorite was the angry birds. They look so real!

Drake is SO cute! I love to show him off as if he was my own! I hadn't seen him for a couple weeks and was shocked by how much he is talking and you can actually understand what he is saying now. At the pumpkin walk he kept couting the pumpkins and saying "Punkin?, Punkin?" They had Mickey made out of pumpkins and we didn't even have to tell him, he just shouted out "Mickey!" It is so fun watching him grow.

NOW YOU ARE UP TO DATE! :)

September...

A couple weeks ago, Dad, Tyler, Robert and Uncle Wayne went Goat Hunting in Mantua. Ty and Rob were only able to go for a day so they weren't there when my Uncle shot the goat. Sunday morning, my dad calls Tyler from the top of the mountain because they just shot a goat and are so far from camp, they need his help bringing it down the mountain. So we head to Mantua, little did we know that it was going to be quite the adventure. I asked Ty if we were going to be hiking and he said no, so I didn't think twice about wearing my flip flops because I just thought I would be able to stay on the Razor. Once we get to Mantua, the Razor that is parked for us to take up the mountain has a flat tire. BUT, me and my studly husband put our heads together and found a flat repair kit in the vehicle AND a pump. 30 min later, it's fixed! So we head up the mountain and it was a gorgeous ride! The leaves were just turning and it was such a fun thing to do on a Sunday afternoon. We make it to their camp and they aren't there, so we head higher up the mountain, finally finding their 4-wheelers, but they aren't there. So what do we do? We start HIKING, yep I hiked up a mountain in FLIP FLOPS. Only stubbing my toe once, ouch. Eventually we see some guys in the distance and so Ty hikes over to them and it's my dad and Uncle Wayne. They had walked MILES with their heavy packs and goat meat and head, so they were very relieved to see big Ty coming to save the day. Dad was so exhausted but I was so proud of him for hiking so far! Go DAD! Long story short, we saved Dad and Uncle Wayne from having a heart attack and it was a fun little adventure.

We got a new car! I have been looking for a while now and we finally found a great SUV. As winter has been getting closer, I really wanted to find something because our Mazda sucks in the snow, I mean really sucks, as in, I almost died multiple times last year! Haha. So Ty and I decided to find me an SUV with 4-wheel drive and we found this beauty.2005 GMC Envoy I am in love with it! It drives so well and has really cool features that most people wouldn't care about, but it's cool to me. I love that it has power windows (which the Mazda doesn't), it has a rear windshield wiper (my fav!) and a HUGE trunk. Thanks honey for letting me get a new car and for letting me make it a "little' girly!

Drakester is SO cute! That smiling picture is VERY rare, so consider yourselves lucky for seeing it!

Wednesday last week was Tyler's 23rd birthday! Since I don't a child to throw a party for, I threw one for him and it was a good excuse to finally have our families over for a big dinner. We had Cafe Rio style food which was delicious. The ranch I made tasted EXACTLY like Cafe Rio's, I was pretty proud of myself! Ty got to have his favorite: Pork Burritos and I got to have my favorite: Pork Salad. Thank you to all my family who helped with all the food. We even had little cups for the dressing like they do at Cafe Rio (they were the cups we used for Creme Brule at our wedding!) Ty got some great gifts and loves them! I gave him a Dunder Mifflin paper t-shirt (he LOVES The Office) and Brian Regan tickets (In January). My parents gave him a skill saw (it hadn't gotten there yet, so he got a picture of it! Haha). Ty's parents gave him an awesome grill! Kim gave him the movie 17 Miracles, Linds and Rob gave him shot gun shells and a holster for them that attaches to his shotgunl and then Trev and Ash sent a gift card to the movies! We are so thankful that spoiled Ty! After the party was over, we watched the season premiere of Modern Family and that summed up the night to being a GREAT one! Thanks everyone!

Getting to be Fall...

A lot has gone on lately! For labor day, we  went to Lava to Ty’s grandparent’s cabin. Hannah and Katelyn didn’t have anything to do so they came with us! It was a blast. The weather was my fav (chilly). We spent our time making super cute bracelets, 4-wheeling, going to the hot pots, and spending time with each other. It was a very relaxing trip. Ty’s mom and dad and Kim came up on Sunday and then my parents came up on Monday for the day. Can I just say that I love camping! It is my favorite fall thing to do! We can’t wait for when we can go back! This past weekend I went to Time Out For Women in Logan with Julie and Kim, Julie got us these tickets and they were way worth it! It was such a great experience and so uplifting. They had some amazing speakers and music. (Laurel Christensen, Dean Hughes, Emily Freeman, Mercy River, etc) My mom was able to come with us on Saturday and it was so much fun spending time with both my moms! I am so lucky! Yesterday was Hannah’s 12th birthday! I can’t believe she is in Young Women’s now! I still remember waking up with her at night to rock her back to sleep when she was fussy! It is crazy how fast time has flown. We had a good ole family dinner and then Hannah had a party. She had a Justin Bieber cake and we gave her the Justin Bieber perfume! Haha. Hannah was surprised with a new bike and a new cell phone! Can you tell that she is the baby of the family?! Haha. We had a great weekend with our families as always. (P.S. We got a new car! I haven’t had time to take pics yet so I will post about it soon! Also more pics to come about our crazy day last Sunday when we “saved” my dad while he was mountain goat hunting!)
Making bracelets! Ty's cousin Tom was so much fun and is always good for a laugh!

Our awesome bracelets that took FOREVER to make!

Date Night/FHE

Tyler took me on a much needed date yesterday! We went to eat at Iggie's and then got ice cream after at a new place called Sub Zero. They make the ice cream right in front of you, it's really cool. To freeze it, they blast this sub zero freezing spray and voila, you've got ice cream! It was a fun night!

20 lbs lighter!

Look what eating right and healthy does to you.... Tyler and I have both lost weight recently and couldn't be happier!

Fair and Family Time!

This past week was the good ole' Box Elder County Fair! Tyler and I didn't get to participate in ALL of the weekly activities (that's what happens when you go to school and work full time) but we were able to spend the weekend up in Tremonton and so we didn't completely miss out. On Friday night was my sister Katelyn's first football game of the year to cheer at. She did so good! After the game, we took Drake out to the fair to ride on some rides (yes, it was 10 pm and yes we may have been taking him there for our own enjoyment since it was way past his bedtime!) He had so much fun but by the end he was very tired, as you will be able to see in the pictures! The rides he went on were the monster trucks, space ships, carousel, and a couple others. He loved spinning around and waving at us each time, it was so cute. I love having a nephew, he makes me so excited to one day have a child of my own! Saturday we slept in and then Mom, Linds, Drake and Hannah went out to the fair for some yummy lunch! Me and my mom had the Pauni Island food (the Pauni's are the polynesians from Logan that had an Extremem Home Makeover, the TV show.) It was delicious but expensive, $10 for half a plate of food, I don't think so! We walked around the booths for a while but got super hot and sweaty! We went home and tore our clothes off and were down to our g's, when good old Uncle B walked in the door! Haha Guess we should've remembered to lock the door! That night we went to the rodeo. It was just the same as every year, but still very fun! My best friend Kara met up with Tyler and I and it was so good so see her and hang out for a couple hours. Sunday was my mom's birthday! I won't tell you how old she is because she doesn't look it one bit! All the kids and dad made mom a delicious Sunday meal, it felt like old times. We need to remember to do that once a month! For her b-day, mom got an ultimate spa package with all the amenities from dad and the kids, Ty and I gave her a couple other things that are a add-on to her package. Linds and Rob gave her a super cute clock to go outside on the deck. We concluded the night with a fun skype call from Hunter, who is away at college at SUU in Cedar City. This weekend was a great one, I always love spending time with my family, now this coming weekend we will be going up to Lava Hot Springs to spend the weekend w/Ty's family! We are so lucky!
Mom's face is hilarious! Having fun at the BR game
