A couple weeks ago, Dad, Tyler, Robert and Uncle Wayne went Goat Hunting in Mantua. Ty and Rob were only able to go for a day so they weren't there when my Uncle shot the goat. Sunday morning, my dad calls Tyler from the top of the mountain because they just shot a goat and are so far from camp, they need his help bringing it down the mountain. So we head to Mantua, little did we know that it was going to be quite the adventure. I asked Ty if we were going to be hiking and he said no, so I didn't think twice about wearing my flip flops because I just thought I would be able to stay on the Razor. Once we get to Mantua, the Razor that is parked for us to take up the mountain has a flat tire. BUT, me and my studly husband put our heads together and found a flat repair kit in the vehicle AND a pump. 30 min later, it's fixed! So we head up the mountain and it was a gorgeous ride! The leaves were just turning and it was such a fun thing to do on a Sunday afternoon. We make it to their camp and they aren't there, so we head higher up the mountain, finally finding their 4-wheelers, but they aren't there. So what do we do? We start HIKING, yep I hiked up a mountain in FLIP FLOPS. Only stubbing my toe once, ouch. Eventually we see some guys in the distance and so Ty hikes over to them and it's my dad and Uncle Wayne. They had walked MILES with their heavy packs and goat meat and head, so they were very relieved to see big Ty coming to save the day. Dad was so exhausted but I was so proud of him for hiking so far! Go DAD! Long story short, we saved Dad and Uncle Wayne from having a heart attack and it was a fun little adventure.
We got a new car! I have been looking for a while now and we finally found a great SUV. As winter has been getting closer, I really wanted to find something because our Mazda sucks in the snow, I mean really sucks, as in, I almost died multiple times last year! Haha. So Ty and I decided to find me an SUV with 4-wheel drive and we found this beauty.2005 GMC Envoy I am in love with it! It drives so well and has really cool features that most people wouldn't care about, but it's cool to me. I love that it has power windows (which the Mazda doesn't), it has a rear windshield wiper (my fav!) and a HUGE trunk. Thanks honey for letting me get a new car and for letting me make it a "little' girly!
Drakester is SO cute! That smiling picture is VERY rare, so consider yourselves lucky for seeing it!
Wednesday last week was Tyler's 23rd birthday! Since I don't a child to throw a party for, I threw one for him and it was a good excuse to finally have our families over for a big dinner. We had Cafe Rio style food which was delicious. The ranch I made tasted EXACTLY like Cafe Rio's, I was pretty proud of myself! Ty got to have his favorite: Pork Burritos and I got to have my favorite: Pork Salad. Thank you to all my family who helped with all the food. We even had little cups for the dressing like they do at Cafe Rio (they were the cups we used for Creme Brule at our wedding!) Ty got some great gifts and loves them! I gave him a Dunder Mifflin paper t-shirt (he LOVES The Office) and Brian Regan tickets (In January). My parents gave him a skill saw (it hadn't gotten there yet, so he got a picture of it! Haha). Ty's parents gave him an awesome grill! Kim gave him the movie 17 Miracles, Linds and Rob gave him shot gun shells and a holster for them that attaches to his shotgunl and then Trev and Ash sent a gift card to the movies! We are so thankful that spoiled Ty! After the party was over, we watched the season premiere of Modern Family and that summed up the night to being a GREAT one! Thanks everyone!
