Right before October started, I went to Gardner Village with Julie and Kim. We have made it a tradition and now my mom and sisters have also made it a tradition. It was so much fun to go see all the decorating ideas, shops and get some cute new clothes & stuff for my house!
We have had such a fun October & it has been busy busy busy but we've loved every minute of it. The first week in October I was one of the guys and went Duck Hunting! It was a first for Ty and he did so good! He shot 4 ducks! I clipped one on the tail but it didn't go down, oh well. When you're duck hunting you get up way early and then wait until the sun is just starting to come up and then you just go crazy on the ducks! It seriously wounded like world war 3 with all the gunfire that was going off. The shotgun we used had a major kick and I had a HUGE bruise on my shoulder but it was totally worth it.
Listen Carefully, you can hear all the gunshots
My mom did my hair in these cool curlers during conference and this was the result, I really liked it!
I got a creative itch and was sick of the color of our boring white door. It faces the street so that is the first thing I see. I felt like it blended in too much with all the other doors so... we painted it! It actually is a little brighter turquoise than it looks in this picture, it took a little getting used to, but I really love it now. This color is really popular right now and it just makes me smile everytime I drive past it! I also got that cute wreath on an Etsy shop that I love called SweetLeighMama. The Love sign that is shown in my past post I got at Garnder village at the Celebrations store and I love it. It is magnetic to I got magnets for all the seasons that I can put on it. So much fun! I really feel like the front of my house looks like "me" now.
Ty & I went to Park City for the 2nd weekend in October. We stayed at my the condos that my Aunt Nancy manages. It was such a fun getaway and was much needed. We have made it a tradition to have a little getaway in October every year. (last year we went to Salt Lake and stayed in a hotel, went to the Aquarium, etc) We watched movies on TV, went to the hot tub every night, played phase ten and UNO, ate at fancy restaurants, went to a movie, slept in, and much more. We love spending time together no matter what we are doing!
This is when my mom and sisters went to Gardner Village. Hannah and Drake dressed up in their Halloween costumes and looked adorable. Drake was loving his outfit and kept singing the hotdog song (from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
3rd week in October we went Deer Hunting. Hunts shot a 4 point before we made it up so it was more like camping, but hey, I'm calling it Hunting! We got up really early and tried to shoot some coyotes, we were way legit too, in a blind and everything, but nope we didn't see ANYTHING. I pretty much slept while Hunts and Ty sat there for 2 hours. ( I think I made a good decision, haha) It was so fun to spend time one on one with my Dad. I have always been the daddy's girl of the family and Hannah is following in my footsteps. I never wanted to be left behind when my dad would go hunting so I always got to go with him and help spot deer. They are some of my best memories with my dad, Uncle Wayne and Aunt Becky. I was the first kid he took hunting (before Hunter came along) and I am so glad that it is something I like to do. When you go deer hunting tho, it is definately "roughing it". Me and Hannah were peeing on logs and everything! Haha. One thing we always do every year is have SPAM. I introduced "reduced fat" spam to the bunch and they couldn't even tell a difference! haha. We had razors to drive this year and were definately spoiled. Usually we freeze our butts off but they have built in heaters! It was awesome. Such a fun weekend.
The 4th weekend in October we went with Linds and the girls to the Pumpkin Walk in Logan (or as Drake calls is "Punkin walk") They had some way cute displays all made out of pumpkins. My favorite was the angry birds. They look so real!
Drake is SO cute! I love to show him off as if he was my own! I hadn't seen him for a couple weeks and was shocked by how much he is talking and you can actually understand what he is saying now. At the pumpkin walk he kept couting the pumpkins and saying "Punkin?, Punkin?" They had Mickey made out of pumpkins and we didn't even have to tell him, he just shouted out "Mickey!" It is so fun watching him grow.
NOW YOU ARE UP TO DATE! :)
